ABOUT ISPO - ISPO is the world’s leading platform for the sports industry and sports innovation. Each year, an international jury of designers, engineers, sports experts, and industry professionals evaluates the best new products — independently, critically, and based on clearly defined criteria. The ISPO Award is one of the industry’s most prestigious distinctions. It serves as a globally recognized seal of quality and a powerful signal to decision-makers, architects, urban planners, and the entire sports market.

The URBN HOOP® was awarded as a Winner at the Design Prize Brandenburg 2025 (Designpreis Brandenburg 2025) in the category Product Design / Industrial Design.

WHY THIS IS SPECIAL - The competition evaluates outstanding design across all industries — there is no dedicated category for sports equipment. URBN HOOP® therefore competed against projects from furniture, industrial, lifestyle and technology design. Out of around 150 submissions, the eleven-member jury selected 31 projects. Being nominated already counts as an award and recognises exceptional design quality. Only 12 projects were awarded as winners and received prize money — including URBN HOOP®. This distinction confirms that URBN HOOP® officially ranks among the best design projects in Brandenburg in 2025 — across all industries. A strong recognition of our design quality, technical innovation, and our position at the intersection of sport, culture and contemporary product design.

ABOUT THE DESIGN PRIZE BRANDENBURG - The Design Prize Brandenburg (Designpreis Brandenburg) is a prestigious state-level design competition in the German federal state of Brandenburg. It is awarded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour, Energy and Climate Protection of the State of Brandenburg. The aim of the award is to highlight the creative and economic strength of Brandenburg’s design and creative industries.
