Each year, an international jury of designers, engineers, sports experts, and industry professionals evaluates the best new products — independently, critically, and based on clearly defined criteria. The ISPO Award is one of the industry’s most prestigious distinctions. It serves as a globally recognized seal of quality and a powerful signal to decision-makers, architects, urban planners, and the entire sports market.

The URBN HOOP® was honored as a Nominee at the Designpreis Brandenburg 2025 — a distinction achieved by less than 20% of all submissions.

WHY THIS IS SPECIAL - The competition evaluates product design as a whole — there is no dedicated category for sports equipment. This means the URBN HOOP® competed directly against projects from furniture design, industrial design, lifestyle, technology, and communication design. Out of more than 150 submitted works, only 31 projects were nominated. Nominations are reserved exclusively for projects that demonstrate: outstanding design quality, innovation, functionality, and societal relevance. This recognition confirms: URBN HOOP® is officially among the best design projects in Brandenburg for 2025 — across all industries. A strong statement about our design quality, our technical innovation, and our position between sport, culture, and contemporary product design.

It is awarded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour, Energy and Climate Protection of the State of Brandenburg.
