RUCKER PARK - The Legend Years
"An acoustic memory of streetball."
Rucker Park – The Legend Years is not a conventional album. It is a sonic archive.
Inspired by the legendary era of Rucker Park in Harlem, New York, this work creates an acoustic space where streetball is not explained — but remembered. Each track is dedicated to a real legend. No sober biography. No historical sports report. Instead, a sonic portrait — carried by jazz, funk, northern soul and spoken word.
The voices, rhythms and atmospheres speak of dignity, improvisation and identity. Of concrete, heat, crowds — and of moments greater than the court itself. The album is conceived as a complete work. Chapter by chapter. As a whole.
Rucker Park – The Legend Years is not a finished project, but the beginning of a growing cultural archive.
